Peer Review Process
At IJRDO - Journal of Veterinary and Animal Science, we aim to make our peer review process transparent, equitable and supportive. There are several stages in the process before a manuscript is published.
1. Submission and Initial Screening
After you submit a manuscript, it is checked by the editorial team. This involves checking whether the manuscript falls within the journal's focus, and whether it is of acceptable quality and style.
2. Assignment to Reviewers
If it passes the initial review, we then invite subject experts to review the manuscript. We adopt a double-blind review process to ensure a fair and content-focused review.
3. Detailed Evaluation
The manuscript is assessed by the reviewers on the basis of:
- Originality and relevance of the study
- Clarity and structure of the writing
- Methodology and accuracy of results
- Overall contribution to the field
4. Reviewer Feedback
Reviewers provide feedback with suggestions. These comments are sent to the author to assist them in improving their manuscript and the research presented.
5. Revision by Authors
Authors are requested to make revisions to their manuscript. This helps in improving the quality of the manuscript.
6. Final Review and Decision
The manuscript is re-reviewed by the editorial team. A decision is made on the basis of the improvement and quality of the manuscript:
- Accepted for publication
- Sent for further revision
- Rejected
7. Confidentiality and Ethics
Manuscripts are confidential. Authors' and reviewers' names are kept confidential and the process is fair and respectful.
8. Publication
Once accepted, the manuscript moves forward for publication in the upcoming issue of the journal.
